When you know you’ve dodged a bullet, it’s easy to be thankful! Yes, I am a man of faith, so THANK YOU LORD! I am super thankful and thrilled that Angela and Chris’ wedding happened on a day that was not insanely cold and allowed us to spend some time outdoors (aka the world’s best lighting!). Vineland Estates Winery was the setting of this very classy wedding and as usual, we loved working with Allure Hair and makeup (they actually allowed me to use the best window for lighting even though they got it first!). The Jordan House was the site of the reception – very cool – and it was their first reception of this kind! Thanks you 2 for allowing me to be a part of this intimate celebration! Blessings!

We love to brag about our couples since nearly all of them seem to be the absolute nicest people to work with (hmmmm…) and Jannell & Adam were no exception. These were two super smart scholars who finally tied the knot after school was done! Congrats on all the achievements you guys! Patryk from Liquid Entertainment is always wonderful to work with and of course the Pillar and Post provided the elegant setting for both the ceremony and reception. For February, we couldn’t have asked for better weather for this Niagara wedding! Blessings from us to you 2!

Here’s a great trip back in time – prices and all – right from the 1975 Eaton’s Catalogue. Check out the polyester leisure suit!

In the interest of all things retro, I thought it might be fun to head back down memory lane (for those of us whose memories existed back then!). I unearthed this in my parents’ basement a few weeks ago. I’ll post some great product shots soon in another post!

Debbie and I are always excited to be a part of the making of what we hope is a timeless artpiece that moms and dads and kids can enjoy forever. Here’s a shot of baby Caragan we had the privilege of photographing earlier today – and in spite of poop and pee which always seems to come with the territory, we’re thrilled at how perfect she “acted” for this shot!

As I prepared for bed on this cold Saturday night giving baths to the kids being thankful I had a warm house, I looked outside to my front sidewalk to see in insanely huge crowd jumping up and down and a really loud fiddle blaring wildly in the darkness. I thought this might be a good opportunity to photograph something, so I grabbed my trusty Canon and sprinted outside. Who should I see but some famous dude named Ashley MacIsaac going nuts on a violin in the middle of Main Street in lil ol’ Jordan, Ontario! He’s still at it as I write this! Of course one can hardly notice him with the huge parka, but 3 or 4 hundred people can’t be wrong right? Great party going on and some really funky ice sculptures too – it’s the Ice Wine festival held in our little town each year at this time!

What do you get when you ask a 2 year old to sit in a chair for his photo? Yup, anything but that! This was a fun shoot to do and Adam behaved perfectly – well, you know – 2-year old perfectly!

Yes, every now and then we like to practice our acting skills and some people actually go for it! Here’s our latest appearance on Sympatico.ca (as of January 3/12). Yes it really is us and our little dude Rian arguing over a utility bill. Kinda sad we’re starring in “money issues that can kill your marriage” but we’re still good with each other – just acting (in case you’re checking this out Mom!) Now, I’m off to check out the alien corpse story – fascinating!!
