It’s always a fine day when I can grab my camera and create what I love! Christine and Vaughn’s engagement session allowed me to do just that, and for my part, I had a blast. But enough about me – other than to thank you C & V for allowing me to be a part of your engagement memories and your wedding celebration!

On the morning of this fun shoot, 1 inch of snow cast some doubt in my mind about the level of comfort we might expect! It was cold and rainy and snowy and all around miserable. I waited for word from Shelly about a possible re-schedule, but no such word came. Thankfully it warmed up just enough to allow us to accomplish our grand plans for this shoot! Tony was the “man”! I couldn’t have looked as warm as he did in the wind and temps we dealt with, and in the end these shots were worth every single second of the cold! I think you guys set your own bar pretty high for the wedding photos now! I’m psyched!

When a couple hires me to photograph their wedding and e-session, it’s obvious that the photography will be all about them – featuring them and their relationship to each other. That’s exactly as it should be. However, from time to time, during a photo shoot, we’ll stumble upon a situation or location where the surrounding environment is so striking (because of architecture or lighting) that it makes sense to take a few shots featuring something much larger than just the couple – even to the point you can hardly tell who the couple is if at all! Dusk in downtown St. Catharines gave us such a scenario and even in the dark and cold, these two didn’t complain but braved the seedy back alleys of downtown at night! Way to go you guys – and here’s a bit of a preview of the results!

So YOU GUYS did the pics for those crazy kids!!! I’ve got the save the date magnet on my fridge! Love the engagement pics… they’re a cute couple. I guess we’ll see ya on Sept 10th!
